How-to: Wholesale Climate Station Data Exports

How-to: Wholesale Climate Station Data Exports

The wholesale facility allows users to download a combined dataset of multiple stations/ parameters for a user defined time period as one csv file.

Pricing information

Wholesale specific pricing is derived by the requested number of products (N), requested period in years (Y, where Y is rounded up), wholesale unit price (P, for daily climate station data: $10)

Wholesale Cost = N x Y x P

A minimum order price applies as the price of one standard dataset (for daily climate station data: $100)

Step-by-step

Step 1:

  • Log in to DataHub to identify you as an internal ESNZ user
  • Change your order type to "Wholesale" via clicking on your name in the top-right

Important Notes:

  • Only datasets from a single product type (e.g. Climate time-series) can be added to an order at one time.
  • Currently only Climate Station Daily is supported

Step 2:

  • Select datasets you want to include in your wholesale order by clicking "Add to order"
  • Open the cart, top right, and press “Review Order"
  • Enter required data range, see below for details
  • Tick the disclaimer checkboxes and submit the order.

.

Step 3:

  • Proceed through the Shopify checkout and place the order. The order should be free; however, please verify this before completing the purchase
  • Navigate to the Ordered Products page, via clicking on your name, and wait for the Wholesale product to become available for download
  • Download the data file and verify that its contents match the expected date range and selected datasets

Combined Time Period

When you’re ready to place your order you will be asked to input a date range to filter and compile the datasets by. The selected date range determines which records are retained in the compiled dataset. If the date range does not overlap with the date ranges of the selected datasets, there may be no data available to compile.
