Climate station data (hourly)

Data collected at weather stations, stored at NIWA's Climate Database, provided in hourly formats. (Daily data can be found here)

On this webpage a range of parameters are made available at no fees for non commercial use only, fees apply for commercial use (Why?).

Data access per user is limited to 50 datasets (Why?). 

The data is updated on a monthly cycle (Why?) and the period of available data is noted on each data product.

If you need more current data you can obtain daily updated daily data through this subscription service.
