Climate station normals

NIWA generates ‘Normals’ from Climate Station Observations collected as part of our Climate Station Network. These are long term (30-year) statistics (averages or totals) of climatologic parameters for a large range of station locations, calculated both on an annual and monthly level.

• What is typical January temperature for locations xyz?

On this web page we make a selection of datasets of climate parameters and time periods available at no cost for non-commercial use only .
