Climate station statistics (monthly/annual)

NIWA generates ‘Statistics’ from Climate Station Observations. These are monthly (e.g. ‘for January 1974') and annual (e.g. 'for 1974’) averages for large range of station locations, calculated for a range of parameters.

On this webpage a range of parameters are made available at 0 fees for non commercial use only, fees apply for commercial use (Why?).

Data access per user is limited to 50 datasets (Why?). 

The data is updated on a monthly cycle and the period of available data is noted on each data product.
